From the DHG President – Update.

May 25, 2020

Dear Artisans,

The Dartmouth Handcrafters’ Guild Board is optimistically continuing to plan for the 45th Handmade for the Holidays craft show scheduled for October 23-25, 2020. However, we are acutely aware that the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic may force a cancellation for this year.

A determination has not yet been made as we await news from the Nova Scotia Government regarding how large scale events will be included in the re-opening plans for the province, or if they will be permitted this year at all.

Meanwhile the Board is determined to do our best to move forward amid scheduling challenges introduced by the current Nova Scotia state of emergency. Should it be deemed necessary to cancel the 2020 show, the DHG Board will shift immediately to planning for 2021.

The potential decision to cancel the 2020 event will be made no later than July 31st. We will keep you all apprised of any news and updates for the show as things evolve.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patients as we navigate through this unprecedented situation.
