Membership Terms

  • Membership to the Dartmouth Handcrafters Guild begins once your initial membership registration fee is received.
     
  • Your membership remains in good standing as long as your annual membership dues are received by the deadline each year.
     
  • Show participants must have a membership in good standing

Paid members can request a copy of our bylaws by emailing governance@handcraftersguild.ca.

Membership Cost

  • The initial registration fee to join the Guild is $60 (tax included). The annual dues to keep your membership in good standing are $40 (tax included). Registration fees and membership dues are non-refundable.
     
  • Invoices will be sent out in January and payment will be due by the end of February. 
     
  • If dues are received by the due date, your membership will remain in good standing for the current calendar year.
     
  • If dues are not received by the due date, your membership will be revoked. If your membership is revoked, you are welcome to rejoin the Guild at anytime in the future by paying the membership registration fee ($60) again.

Benefits to Members in Good Standing

  • Only members in good standing will receive insurance coverage for all markets on our list of sanctioned markets.
     
  • Applications from members in good standing will be processed BEFORE new applicants and lapsed members. However, there is no guarantee of acceptance into the show.
     
  • Members in good standing accepted into the show will be placed on the floor plan BEFORE new applicants and lapsed members.

New Applicants and Lapsed Members

  • New applicants and lapsed members will receive insurance coverage for our show only.
     
  • Applications from new applicants and lapsed members will be processed AFTER applications from members in good standing.
     
  • New applicants and lapsed members accepted into the show will be placed on the floor plan AFTER members in good standing.
